DramaTech Announces Auditions for Art is Useless When You’re Being Mauled by a Bear by Alisa Tangredi
Monday, August 31 and Tuesday, September 1 from 6 – 9 pm.

About the Show: A haunting and darkly whimsical exploration of grief, guilt, and survival, ART IS USELESS WHEN YOU’RE BEING MAULED BY A BEAR follows one woman’s fantastical descent through memory, madness, and the stories we tell ourselves to endure loss. Along the way, she encounters creatures both real and imagined—some seemingly torn from a Grimms’ fairy tale—as she is forced toward an inescapable truth. Strange, unsettling, and unexpectedly powerful, this surreal journey asks what remains when art, reason, and reality begin to slip away. And yes, there is a bear.

IN ADDITION, we are seeking one actress for our production of anthropology to play the role of Angie. This is being cast early because we will be creating the technology used in the show and will need to create a digital version of the actor’s voice and likeness earlier in the process. If you are interested in being cast in this role, please read the script and let the stage manager know at auditions. There will be a separate callback held for this role.
