Presenting Science: Basalt Rock Dust as an Alternative to Agricultural Limestone for Improving Crop Yield and Reducing Greenhouse Gases

Join us for the next event in the Presenting Science series with Dr. Chris Reinhard, Associate Professor in the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences.

Dr. Reinhard will explore how basalt rock dust can capture atmospheric CO₂, improve soil health and crop yields through enhanced weathering, and serve as a potential alternative to agricultural lime based on findings from long-term field trials and practical implementation considerations.
