We are excited to announce Georgia Tech’s upcoming Juneteenth Celebration on Tuesday, June 18, 2024! Join as we celebrate a day that commemorates freedom and encourages reflection on African American history and culture. 

Date: Tuesday, June 18, 2024 
Keynote Address: 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. in the Instructional Center 103 
Celebration and Performances: 12 p.m. - 3 p.m., Ferst Arts Plaza 

 

Here’s what you can expect: 

- A variety of delicious food, exciting games, and entertainment suitable for all ages. 
- Live performances from local talents, showcasing the richness of African American arts. 
- Inspiring messages about the historical significance of Juneteenth and its relevance today. 

This year’s celebration will also introduce the new Black Culture, Innovation & Technology (BCIT) department, part of the Division of Arts, Belonging and Community within the Student Engagement and Well-being cabinet. BCIT is dedicated to highlighting the intersection of culture and technology, fostering innovation, and celebrating the contributions of African Americans in these fields. This event is a collaborative effort with a committee consisting of several offices across campus, led by BCIT.
